Now that spring has finally arrived in both Maryland and Maine, it's time to share the latest news about Celtic Rose Clothiers. In case you don't know, we are a mother and daughter team living and working in two different states to create children's clothing, handwoven table linens and couch throws, and specialty historical costume pieces. At the moment, the costumes are focused on the Elizabethan era, although we may be adding some Civil War era pieces soon.
Sarah, the "daughter" half of the team, lives in Frederick,Maryland, where she does most of the sewing and bookkeeping, as well as managing the soon-to-be- three models, who appear in most of the photos.
Deb is the "mother" half. She lives in Calais, Maine, and provides financial support, blog posts, and occasional sewing. She also runs Lost Art Studio, where she produces all of the handwoven fabrics for home decor, and soon for very special children's clothing, on her vintage hand looms. The Lost Art Studio website is under construction, and will be found at lostartstudiomaine.com.
For those of you in the Frederick, Maryland area, Celtic Rose Clothiers will have items on consignment at Chartreuse & Co, 4005 Buckeystown Pike, on May 19-21, in the barn.
